Solar EPC company Sunkind Energy has secured five solar rooftop projects. According to a statement by the company, Sunkind Energy has received orders for the projects in North India. The total capacity of projects that the company has received is 10 MW in states like Punjab, Haryana, Rajasthan, and Chhattisgarh.

According to Sunkind Energy, the company will work on these solar rooftop installation projects for firms such as Cedaar Textiles Private Limited, ABREL Solar Power Limited–subsidiaries of the Aditya Birla Group, Jindal Stainless Limited, Jindal Steel and Power Limited, and SBF Rapid (TMT).

Sunkind has been transitioning towards a utility-scale developer model, aiming to invest in long-term power purchase agreements (PPAs) and utility-scale projects. This aims at improved business viability and faster return on investment compared to traditional EPC contracting.

Sunkind has spotlighted the development of proprietary solar tracker systems and the establishment of its own solar panel manufacturing line, which will see the light of day in 2025. Sunkind is involved in energy storage systems, integrating solar energy with battery storage for enhanced energy independence. The company is also working on solar park development projects in Chattisgarh, Rajasthan, and Haryana,
