The CEO is set to join the firm on July 10, 2023. He will be replacing the acting CEO, Rupesh Agrawal. Gupta will also step into the shoes of the Managing Director of Azure Power India Private Limited, a subsidiary of the firm. Preceding this role at Azure, Gupta was the Business Head at renewable energy firm Vena Energy for Southeast Asia & South Asia. He has also served as the renewable energy Business Group Head at Sembcorp Industries in Singapore. Here, he looked after market entry in India, Australia, Singapore and Vietnam. Meanwhile, Sugata Sircar has joined Azure Power as the CFO of Azure Power and Executive Director of subsidiary Azure Power India. His appointment was effective May 1, 2023.
