Sungrow Unveils New Central Inverter at Virtual Show By Manu Tayal/ Updated On Thu, Jun 18th, 2020 Chinese inverter manufacturer Sungrow has on Thursday unveiled its new central inverter SG6250HV-MV during a virtual show organised amidst the changing market conditions due to coronavirus pandemic. The company said in a statement that the turnkey station SG6250HV-MV for 1500Vdc system integrated 2 units of outdoor central inverter SG3125HV-30 with medium-voltage transformer and other components in a 40-ft container, which minimizes the cost of transportation and installation. The inverter manufacturer claimed that the maximum inverter efficiency has reached 99 per cent, and as a brand-new outdoor central inverter, it is strategically designed with DC/AC ratio up to 1.8, enabling cost-saving on Balance of System (BoS) at USD 2 million for a 100MWp project. Besides, this new outdoor solution is resilient in harsh conditions as it is having an optimal protection level of IP65 and anti-corrosion capacity of C5. Even it can operate without derating during the temperature of up to 50 degrees Celsius, making solar projects more productive and cost-effective.
