Sungrow Signs UP Celestial Renewexperts as Distributor for South India

Sungrow, which was declared the world’s leading solar inverter maker in 2022 by some agencies, has announced the signing of its new distribution agreement with their existing channel partner, Celestial Renewexperts LLP. The new agreement opens up the states of Karnataka, Andhra Pradesh and Telangana for Celestial Renewexperts to distribute Sungrow ‘s portfolio of  PV Inverters.

For Sungrow, poised to deliver a wide range of distributed applications covering product verticals within commercial & industrial, residential and hybrid inverters, the partnership will open up larger opportunities in these states.

South India, including Tamil Nadu and Kerela, has been on a resurgence of sorts when it comes to solar, especially in the residential and C&I segment, where states are back to supporting adoption. While the North and Gujarat take the lead in utility scale solar, South India is seeing plans for smaller yet hybrid solar+wind projects targeting the C&I sector in particular, where Sungrow has a strong portfolio of offerings.

The inverter major, which hit the 10 GW milestone in India back in 2021, is looking to hit new milestones in 2023-24, when overall capacity additions are expected to be between 15-20 GW.
