Sungrow India Plant Output Hits 4 GW In Q1 of 2022 By Saur News Bureau/ Updated On Fri, Apr 8th, 2022 Sungrow, the leading global inverter solution supplier for renewables, has announced that its India factory hit a 4GW production record during the first quarter of 2022, a huge milestone of Sungrow’s contribution to the “Make in India” Initiative. India is one of the few markets outside of China where Sungrow has a production facility in fact. The Sungrow factory was initially built in 2018 near Bengaluru with a 3 GW production capacity which has expanded to 10 GW as of March, 2022. This factory is also the largest manufacturing base in the Indian solar sector spreading over 1,90,000 square feet. It provides jobs for about 300 local people and the scale is growing. The capacity is easily the largest in India as far as inverter manufacturing capacity goes, this factory produced a total of 4GW PV inverters in India within only three months of this year, making Sungrow the top producer in the Indian solar market, says the firm. In 2021, the firm had also crossed the 10 GW milestone in terms of capacity sold in India. That’s one of the highest market shares for the firm anywhere in the world. As a response to “Make in India” Initiative, Sungrow has also made efforts to upgrade the manufacturing mode with advanced technologies. It equipped this factory with state-of-art production lines and testing center in order to provide cutting-edge products with satisfying customers’ OTD (on time delivery). Inverter equipment produced in this factory has supplied a series of projects worldwide, especially in India.
