Sungrow Inaugurates 10 GW Solar Inverter Manufacturing Facility in India By Subhash Yadav/ Updated On Thu, Mar 10th, 2022 Highlights : Union Minister of State for New and Renewable Energy, Bhagwanth Khuba virtually inaugurated the manufacturing unit. Sungrow also got its SG350HX and ‘1+X’ Modular Inverter to make a formal debut in the Indian market. Leading solar inverter maker Sungrow held a formal ceremony in New Delhi to inaugurate the expanded 10 GW annual manufacturing capacity of its plant in India. The company claims that the inauguration is a response to “Make in India” Initiative of Government of India and demonstrates Sungrow’s commitment to “Atmanirbhar Bharat”. The company believes that with the raised production capacity, Sungrow will better reach to its customers locally and globally with high-quality products, lesser lead time and better service experience. Many of the customers of Sungrow that include SJVNL, Tata Power, Adani Green Energy, Amplus, LNB Renewable Energy and Fourth Partner Energy sent their wishes on the occassion. Bhagwanth Khuba said, “Sungrow has been serving the Indian solar market since 2014, and more than 11 GW inverters have been supplied to India. With this 10 GW manufacturing unit, Sungrow can cater to different customer segments including residential, commercial & industrial, utility-scale levels and the customers worldwide. I appreciate this step of Sungrow, as well as its long-term development plan, which can help to realize our ambition of a renewable energy mission. In the future, I hope Sungrow can keep leading this market and set the benchmark for the Indian solar industry, for the success of ‘Make in India’ Initiative.” New products were also launched during the ceremony. Sungrow got its SG350HX and ‘1+X’ Modular Inverter to make a formal debut in the India market. SG350HX features a maximum output power of 352 kW, supporting large-format high-efficiency and bifacial PV modules. Sungrow says that its ‘1+X’ Modular Inverter is expected to lead the next generation inverter desigs for large-scale utility solar plants. The Modular Inverter makes power plant design flexible and O&M convenient in the future, claims the company.
