Shri Saibaba Sansthan Trust, Shirdi has issued a notice inviting tenders for the development of a 10 MW solar PV plant in the state of Maharashtra. The project is on EPC turnkey basis including procurement and development of required private land for the project. The bidder shall also undertake comprehensive Operation & Maintenance for 10 years. The last date for the submission of the bid is January 29, 2019, the last date for the submission of hard copies is January 31, 2019, and the time for completion of the project is 180 days. He scope of work as mentioned in the NIT is Construction, Erection & Installation of equipment, Testing & Commissioning of the whole project along with associated pooling sub-station and transmission system as per nearest Grid-substation of State Electricity Board including grid connectivity & metering arrangement. The estimated cost of the project is Rs 40 crore. The Central Electronics Limited has also recently issued a tender for 11 MW grid connected solar plant in the state. Last year in December the Maharashtra State Electricity Distribution Company issued a tender for 1 GW of floating solar projects to be developed in the state. Apart from these initiatives, Maharashtra government offers subsidies on rooftop solar plants and solar water pumps are being distributed all across the state at no cost for the farmers.
