Solex Energy First Indian PV Module Firm To Get MCS Certification By Saur News Bureau/ Updated On Sat, Sep 14th, 2024 Surat based Solar Module Manufacturer Solex Energy Limited, has become the first Indian PV Module manufacturer to be certified with the prestigious MCS 005 certificate under the BSI Kitemark, supported by the United Kingdom Accreditation Service (UKAS). The MCS stands for Microgeneration Certification Scheme and MCS 005 is the quality certification for solar PV modules. The BSI Group is a non government, not for profit firm with a global footprint. The certificate handover ceremony took place at Solex Energy’s corporate office in Surat in the presence of Chetan Shah, Chairman and Managing Director of Solex Energy Limited, alongside Sandeep Arora, Head of Product Certification, and Juzar Sadriwala, Business Development Manager. Speaking at the event, Chetan Shah, stated, “Receiving the MCS 005 certification is a crucial step in Solex Energy’s expansion into the European, UK, and UAE markets. This certification reinforces our dedication to quality and continuous innovation, ensuring that we meet the rigorous standards of international markets while delivering top-tier solar solutions to our customers.” With module manufacturing capacity growing massively in India, exports are a key part of the market strategy for manufacturers, and after the US, Europe is considered a key market to target.
