SolaX Power to Launch Micro-Inverters for Indian Market Soon

Global solar inverter brand SolaX Power is set to introduce its latest innovation—solar micro-inverters—tailored for the Indian market. The company is in the final stages of launching these inverters, specifically designed for smaller residential rooftop solar installations.

The move gains significance with the introduction of the PM Surya Ghar scheme, which supports compact solar setups like balcony solar and other residential innovations. Vivekanand Jha, Technical Head at SolaX Power, told Saur Energy that the company is awaiting final certification approvals.

Awaiting BIS Certification

“We are ready to launch our micro-inverters in the market soon. Most formalities are complete, and our product has been tested. We are now waiting for the final BIS certification. Once approved, we will bring it to market and anticipate a strong demand,” he said.

SolaX Power plans to offer micro-inverters in the range of 1 kW to 2.2 kW, aiming to enhance small-scale solar adoption for optimal power generation. “Micro-inverters offer several advantages. Their compact size eliminates the need for large conventional inverters, reducing the requirement for mounting systems, DC cables, and other accessories. They are ideal for balcony solar setups and similar small installations, ensuring better generation efficiency and optimal system utilization,” Jha explained.

SolaX Power’s Hybrid Inverters

In addition to micro-inverters, SolaX Power provides on-grid and hybrid solar inverters for the Indian market, expanding its business reach. For the on-grid segment, SolaX Power offers single MPPT inverters ranging from 1 kW to 6 kW. Models up to 4 kW support 16A, while those above 4 kW support up to 20A.

In the hybrid inverter category, the company offers models from 3 kW to 6 kW. “These hybrid solutions provide flexibility, enabling consumers to either purchase standalone inverters and batteries or opt for an integrated package combining both,” Jha added.

SolaX Power primarily caters to the residential and commercial & industrial (C&I) segments. It also ensures seamless monitoring through its proprietary SolaX Cloud platform, which remains free for users for a lifetime. Additionally, third-party apps can be integrated for data sharing, in compliance with the Ministry of New and Renewable Energy (MNRE) guidelines.
