Solar Yaan Announces To Bring ‘Affordable Microinverters’ Solar Yaan Announces To Bring 'Affordable Microinverters'

Solar Yaan, an Indian solar inverter company known for its strong presence in the grid-tied inverter segment, is now significantly expanding its portfolio to cater to the evolving needs of the domestic solar market. The company now claims to have launched its latest micrionverter series. Manoj Patel, MD and CEO of the firm told Saur Energy that the firm has planned to make this product ‘affordable’ for the Indian solar consumers.

“We are showcasing several new products, including a range of microinverters from 600 watts to 2.4 kW,” said Manoj Patel, Co-founder and Managing Director of Solar Yaan.”

Microinverters-New Offering From Solar Yaan

“These microinverters will be offered at highly competitive prices,” said Patel. “While Chinese players have been offering maximum power point tracking (MPPT) up to 15A–16A, our microinverters support 20A MPPT and an AC voltage range up to 295V. This makes them ideal for government-supported projects and multi-storied buildings where decentralized solar is gaining traction.”

One of the key advantages of microinverters, according to Patel, is panel-level monitoring. “Unlike grid-tied inverters, microinverters allow individual panel performance tracking. If one panel underperforms, the rest of the system continues to operate optimally — this ensures better overall energy generation.”

Hybrid Inverter Offtake

The company has introduced a range of new offerings, including microinverters, hybrid inverters, and Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS), aiming to tap into the growing demand for intelligent and integrated solar solutions.

We’ve also launched new hybrid inverters — both single-phase with battery integration and three-phase variants — along with a new Battery Energy Storage System (BESS).”

Patel highlighted that the government’s approval of hybrid inverters under the PM Surya Ghar Yojana has opened up significant opportunities, particularly in states with higher electricity tariffs such as Kerala and Tamil Nadu. “In such markets, the adoption of hybrid inverters is increasing steadily. Our hybrid solutions come as integrated systems with battery energy storage, which enhances their appeal.”

PM Surya Ghar Market

Under the PM Surya Ghar initiative, Solar Yaan’s inverters have already secured a 12% market share nationally, with a commanding 40% share in Gujarat. To cater to smaller rooftop solar users, the company has now introduced a new line of microinverters ranging from 500 watts to 2.4 kW.

With these new products, Solar Yaan is positioning itself as a complete solutions provider for India’s rooftop and distributed solar segment. As the solar market matures and diversifies, the company’s broadened product portfolio is expected to play a vital role in accelerating adoption and improving performance in residential and commercial installations alike.
