SECI Has Floated RFS For Setting Up 8 MW Of Waste To Energy Project In Uttar Pradesh By Saur News Bureau/ Updated On Mon, Jul 11th, 2022 Highlights : Solar Energy Corporation of India (SECI) has invited solar project developers for the request for selection (RFS) to set up the 8 MW of grid-connected waste to energy project in Kanpur, Uttar Pradesh. This project will be completed under Tariff-based Competitive Bidding (WTE-1). The last date to submit the online bid is August 08, 2022, while for offline, it is August 10, 2022, for the waste-to-energy project. Bids will be opened on August 11, 2022. Solar Energy Corporation of India Limited (SECI) has invited solar project developers for the request for selection (RFS) for the establishment of 8 MW of grid-connected waste to energy project, which is to come up in Kanpur, Uttar Pradesh. This project will be completed under Tariff-based Competitive Bidding (WTE-1). The last date to submit the online bid for the project is August 8, 2022, while for offline, it is August 10, 2022. Bids will be opened on August 11, 2022. Interested bidders will have to pay Rs. 29500/- as a tender fee in which GST is included. Each participating bidder will have to pay Rs. 354000/- as a bid processing fee in which 18% GST is also included . The earnest money deposit (EMD) for this waste-to-energy project is Rs. 18,00,000/- and is valid for 9 months from the last date of bid submission. The awarded bidder will have to pay the performance bank guarantee of Rs. 36,00000/-. On a nominal lease basis, the project developer shall carry out the project at the land/location specified and given by the Department of Urban Development. ULB will give the project developer the delineated, un-encroached land that is free of any encumbrances. The purchase must be made in terms of electricity (MW). The project developer of the Uttar Pradesh project is responsible for setting up, running, and maintaining the project to supply waste energy on a round-the-clock basis, maintaining at least 80% availability annually. The awarded bidder will have to pay Rs. One Lakh per MW (+ 18% GST) for administrative costs, collaboration with State Authorities and others, DISCOM/STU, pre-commissioning and commissioning expenses also within 30 days of the LoA’s issuance or at least seven days before the date of the PPA’s signing, whichever comes first. The successful bidder of this 8 MW project will have to submit the required documents to Solar Energy Corp (SECI) within 50 days from the issue of LoA. In case of delay in submission of documents beyond the period mentioned above, Solar Energy Corp (SECI) shall not be liable for delay in verification of documents and subsequent delay in signing of PPA.
