SJVN won the whole capacity of 200 MW it had quoted at the price of ₹2.88 per unit Tariff Discovered in SJVN 1.5 GW Tender Exceeds INR 4 per Kwh Satluj Jal Vidyut Nigam (SJVN Ltd) has bagged a 200 MW grid connected solar power project in Khavda Solar Park, Gujarat. The project has been won through e-reverse auction via competitive bidding. The open competitive tariff bidding was conducted by Gujarat Urja Vikas Nigam Limited (GUVNL). SJVN won the whole capacity of 200 MW it had quoted at the price of ₹2.88 per unit The project, on Build Own and Operate basis, will be developed by SJVN in Khavda Solar Park, Gujarat and is valued at an estimated cost of approximately ₹1,200 Crores. In the first year of the its commissioning, the project will generate 505 million units. The cumulative generation of energy over a span of 25 years would be close to 11,756 million units. The said project will bring down 5,76,067 tonnes of carbon emission. The firm maintained that its vision is aligned with the government’s vision for a carbon neutral economy. It further added with the assignment of this project, the firm’s solar and wind portfolio is pegged at 17,620 MW. Of this capacity, 179.5 MW is under operation while the remaining capacity rest is under various stages of implementation. SJVN’s project portfolio currently stands at 47,079 MW. In an order released recently, the Ministry of New and Renewable Energy (MNRE) designated Satluj Jal Vidyut Nigam (SJVN) Limited as an intermediary procurer/renewable energy implementing agency.
