SJVN Signs Power Usage Agreement With J&K Power Corporation SJVN

SJVN Green Energy Limited subsidiary of SJVN Green Energy Limited (SGEL) recently signed a Power Usage Agreement (PUA) with Jammu & Kashmir Power Corporation Limited (JKPCL) for 300 MW Solar Power Capacity.

Further, under this agreement, 300 MW of power is expected to be supplied to JKPCL from the under-construction of the 1,000 MW Bikaner Solar project which is being developed under the Central Public Sector Undertaking (CPSU) Scheme of IREDA. This project is being developed at a cost of ₹5,491 Crores. This project is being developed under the Domestic Content Requirement (DCR) mode and is slated for commissioning by July 2024. Power from this project is for Govt use either directly or through Discom.

The Company is on rapid progression to achieve its Shared Vision of 25,000 MW by 2030 & 50,000 MW by 2040. This Shared Vision has been formulated in sync with the commitment of the Government of India to generate 50% of energy from non-fossil fuel-based energy resources by 2030.

Earlier this year, SJVN Green Energy Limited invited online bids to manufacture and supply of solar PV modules of total 1960 MWp capacity across the country. SJVN released the tender for eligible bidders inviting bids for single stage two envelope (Techno-commercial Bid and Price Bid) to manufacture and supply solar PV modules of a total of 1960 MWp capacity. These solar power projects are to be installed in various states of India by the terms and conditions stipulated in the tender.

The bid stated, “The solar PV modules with the maximum capacity allocated to the individual bidder shall not exceed 700 MWp. The detailed evaluation criteria and award procedure are defined in the Instructions to bidders part of the bid Document.”
