SJVN recently released a tender to select Solar Rooftop Power Developers to set up 18.00 MW grid-connected rooftop solar PV power projects (without battery storage). SJVN is accepting bids until January 20, 2025.

This project falls under the “PM Surya Ghar: Muft Bijli Yojana” scheme and will be located on 15 Union Government buildings across the NCT of Delhi, Punjab, Rajasthan, Haryana, Uttar Pradesh, Bihar, Jharkhand, Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh, Gujarat, Maharashtra, Goa, Kerala, Telangana, and Andhra Pradesh.

Brief About The Project

The SJVN tender mandates the bidder to prepare a site survey and feasibility report, undertake civil works (inclusive of construction material and water), and perform EPC activities for various rooftop solar capacities on government buildings. These buildings include autonomous bodies, subordinate offices, CPSEs, etc., of the Ministry of Chemicals and Fertilizers, Ministry of Agriculture and Farmers Welfare, Ministry of Commerce and Industry, Ministry of Women and Child Development, Ministry of Personnel, Public Grievances and Pensions, Ministry of Skill Development & Entrepreneurship, Ministry of Statistics and Programme Implementation, and Ministry of Consumer Affairs, Food & Public Distribution, as defined under the PM Surya Ghar: Muft Bijli Yojana. The O&M of the project during the tenure (25 years) of the Power Purchase Agreement will include wear, and tear, overhauling, and replacement of defective modules, inverters/Power Conditioning Unit (PCU), spares, consumables, and other parts.

SJVN placed the estimated cumulative project capacity envisaged for the client organizations at around 18,000 kW. The Scheduled Commissioning Date (SCD) for commissioning the full capacity of each project would be nine months from the Effective Date of the PPA. The commissioning schedule of each project would be submitted to SJVN before signing the PPA. The maximum time period allowed for commissioning the full project capacity with applicable penalties would be limited to one month from the SCD or the extended SCD (if applicable)
