EESL Invites Bid For 70 MW Solar Project in Maharashtra SJVN Limited has issued a tender for a 1,500 MW wind-solar hybrid project. The Central PSU plans to allocate this project to the Inter-State Transmission System (ISTS). The entity plans to select hybrid project developers under tariff-based competitive bidding. The tender document said that the successful bidders will sign a 25-year Power Purchase Agreement (PPA) with SJVN to supply renewable power. SJVN said that the power procured by SJVN from these projects will be sold to different entities in India. The company said that the details of these entities will be intimated later. “SJVN shall at its discretion be entitled to substitute any entity in other states only for selling the power procured from the selected Bidders. SJVN shall be an intermediary nodal agency/procurer for procurement of power supplied by the Hybrid Power Developer (HPD)/Hybrid Power Generator (HPG) and sale of such power to the Buying Entity(ies) entirely on back-to-back basis, based on due performance by the Hybrid Power Developer (HPD) as well as the Buying Entity(ies),” the SJVN tender said. The Ministry of New and Renewable Energy (MNRE) in 2023 had declared SJVN as an intermediary procurer. The SJVN tender also talked about the minimum quantum of power that can be offered through this project. “The minimum quantum of power that can be offered by the Bidder shall be 50 MW and above for projects connected to inter-state transmission system subject to the condition that the rated power capacity of one resource (wind or solar) shall be at least 33% of the total contracted capacity and the maximum quantum of power shall be 750 MW. The total cumulative capacity of power to be awarded under this RfS shall be 1500 MW,” the tender said. It added, “A Bidder, including its Parent, Affiliate or Ultimate Parent or any Group Company shall submit a single bid offering a minimum quantum of Contracted Capacity of 50 MW and a maximum quantum of 750 MW, in the prescribed formats. The Contracted Capacity shall be quoted in multiple of 10 MW only.” Tags: 1500 MW, Hybrid, SJVN, tender, Wind-Solar
