Tariff Discovered in SJVN 1.5 GW Tender Exceeds INR 4 per Kwh SJVN Ltd has invited bids for the selection of developers for 1.5 GW of firm and dispatchable power from renewable power projects with energy storage systems. The projects can be established anywhere in India, as long as they are connected to the interstate transmission grid. The developers for renewable energy will be selected through tariff-based competitive bidding. Bidding closes on July 20, 2023. Technical bids open on July 21, 2023. The bid validity is for 365 days. The period of work is for 730 days. It may be recalled that SJVN had recently entered into a deal with Maharashtra State Power Generation Co. (MAHAGENCO) for the development of 5 GW of renewable energy projects in Maharashtra. Back In February, SJVN revealed that it was set to establish a 700 MW solar plant in Kanpur, Uttar Pradesh. Towards this, the firm had signed a deal with the Uttar Pradesh State Industrial Development Authority. A few days ago, SJVN Ltd arm, SJVN Green Energy had won a capacity of 200 MW wind power project won through competitive bidding in a tender floated by Solar Energy Corporation of India. SJVN is striving towards generating capacity worth 25 GW by 2030, more than half of which are to come from solar and wind resources.
