SJVN Invites Developers to Bid for 1500 MW ISTS-Connected Wind-Solar Projects

Tariff Discovered in SJVN 1.5 GW Tender Exceeds INR 4 per Kwh

SJVN has issued a tender inviting bids from developers to establish 1500 MW ISTS-connected (Inter-State Transmission System) wind-solar hybrid projects in India.

The last day to submit the bid is November 7, 2023. Bids open on November 8, 2023.

The validity of the bid is 12 months from the last date of bid submission.

SJVN will enter into a PPA with the successful bidder for a period of 25 years. The EMD  (Earnest Money Deposit) is INR 12 lacs per MW per project. The developers are required to submit a bid processing fee of INR 15 lacs plus 18% GST for each project. Successful bidders must furnish a performance bank guarantee valued at INR 30.6 lacs per MW of the contracted capacity for the associated Power Purchase Agreement.

Eligibility 

Bidders are required to deliver at least 50 MW of power capacity or more for projects connected to ISTS. A minimum of 33% of the total contracted capacity must originate from a single resource—either wind or solar to make sure that there is diversity in the energy mix.

Last month, SJVN Green Energy Limited (SGEL) had received Letter of Awards from Assam Power Development Corporation Limited (APDCL) for three solar power projects of cumulative capacity 320 MW. SGEL had participated in three separate tariff based competitive bidding tenders of APDCL, that is, 50 MW, 70 MW and 200 MW.
