SJVN Invites Bids for BOS Package of 75 MW Solar Project

Tariff Discovered in SJVN 1.5 GW Tender Exceeds INR 4 per Kwh

SGEL (SJVN Green Energy Limited), a subsidiary of SJVN, has issued a tender for the BOS package for a 75 MW (AC) grid-connected solar PV power plant at Jamui in Bihar.

The last day to submit bids is August 31, 2023. Bids open on August 31, 2023.

The scope of work entails design, engineering, supply, construction, erection, testing, commissioning, and three-year comprehensive operation and maintenance of the solar power plant. SGEL will look into the supply of the solar PV modules separately to the BOS contractors.

Bidders must have an experience to develop BOS packages of solar grid-connected projects with at least 30 MW of cumulative installed capacity (or more), of which one project must be at least 10 MW in capacity.

Earlier, SJVN Green Energy Limited issued a tender for the supply of a Balance of System (BOS) package. It also entails O&M services for a 200 MW solar project at Khavda Solar Park, Gujarat.

Recently, SGEL received the letter of Intent (LOI) from Punjab State Power Corporation Limited (PSPCL). This agreement will pave the way for the procurement of 1200 MW solar power. As per the contract terms, SGEL will develop 1000 MW project anywhere in the country. The remaining 200 MW in the state of Punjab will be set up as per the RFS provisions.
