SJVN, Hero Future Energies Sign PPA For 120 MW Firm & Dispatchable Project In Andhra Pradesh SJVN Limited (SJVN), an Indian Public Sector Undertaking (PSU), recently signed a Power Purchase Agreement (PPA) with Hero Future Energies. The company singed this agreement with SJVN Limited for a 120 MW Firm and Dispatchable Renewable Energy (FDRE) project to be developed in Andhra Pradesh. Under the agreement, the project is expected to be commissioned in 24 months. The plant will ensure the supply of long-term power at affordable rates to DISCOMS for meeting their morning and evening peak hour requirements, while also stabilizing the grid. Hero Future Energies said, “We remain committed to delivering advanced sustainable energy solutions to help India attain its ambitious renewable energy targets.” The company singed this agreement with SJVN Limited for a 120 MW Firm and Dispatchable Renewable Energy (FDRE) project SJVN Tata Power Renewable Energy Limited (TPREL), earlier signed a Power Purchase Agreement (PPA) with SJVN Limited (SJVN) for a 460 MW Firm and Dispatchable Renewable Energy (FDRE) Project. The plant, designed to meet the 460 MW FDRE requirement, integrates solar, wind, and battery storage technologies to ensure efficient energy dispatch during peak hours, thereby stabilizing the grid. FDRE enables round-the-clock power supply, assisting Distribution Companies (Discoms) in fulfilling Renewable Purchase Obligations (RPO) and Energy Storage Obligations (ESO).
