SGEL As part of its efforts to increase the implementation of feeder-level solarization under Component-C of PM-KUSUM, SJVN subsidiary SJVN Green has now released a tender to install 1,352 MW capacity through solar power projects across 102 locations in four districts of Maharashtra. These districts are Pune, Nashik, Ahmednagar, and Solapur. SJVN Green is accepting bids until 16th January 2024. Component C involves grid connected solar water pumps where excess power generated can be supplied to the grid as well. Allocated Capacity The tender would allocate the four states namely Pune – 154 MW across nine locations, Nashik 304 MW across 22 locations, Ahmednagar 315 MW across 19 locations and 579 MW in Solapur across 52 Locations. Capacity The maximum project capacity would be 200 MW (adjusted to the capacity of groups opted). The bid would be quoted in multiples of groups only. A bidder, including its Parent, Affiliate, Ultimate Parent, or any Group Company, can submit a single bid in the prescribed formats. This tender intends to expand SJVN’s portfolio in the renewable energy business from its current portfolio of about 7.3 GW, which is under various stages of project development, to a total portfolio of more than 58 GW, including Hydro, Solar, Wind, Floating Solar, and Thermal Projects under various stages of development such as Survey & Investigation, pre-construction, construction, and O&M Stage. The tender stated, “In furtherance of the implementation of Component C of PM-KUSUM, MSKVY 2.0 has been launched for procurement of power from decentralized Solar PV ground-mounted power plants in Maharashtra through RESCO mode. The Government of Maharashtra (GoM) intends to develop decentralized solar projects with a cumulative capacity of 7,000 MW in the State of Maharashtra.” Expanding on the provision under PM-KUSUM Scheme Component C, the tender scheme provides Central Financial Assistance (CFA) to successful bidders. The provision is of CFA up to 100% of the total eligible CFA, i.e., 30% of the estimated cost of installation of the solar power plant for capacity corresponding to CFA-eligible units of the Project, i.e., up to Rs. 1.05 Crores/MW. The CFA will be released after successful operation and performance of the Project for two months within six months after the COD, with at least one month CUF as per the minimum CUF agreed in the PPA. SJVN Seeks Developers For 6,000MWh RE Projects With Energy Storage System Also Read Incentives The tender would provide the project developer with an incentive of Rs. 0.25/kWh for units injecting energy at the 11 kV/22 kV bus bar for the power sold to MSEDCL for a period commencing from the date of commercial operation of each unit until the date that falls on the expiry of three years from COD of such unit. However, such an incentive (along with arrears, if applicable) shall be payable by MSAPL only upon 75% of the Contracted Capacity achieving the Commercial Operation Date (COD) by the Scheduled Operation Date (SCOD).
