SJVN Gives Geeta Kapur Additional Charge Of Chairperson, MD

Indian PSU–Satluj Jal Vidyut Nigam (SJVN) today announced giving Geeta Kapur the additional charge of Chairperson and Managing Director (MD) of SJVN. Today, the government entity announced the move on its social media handle.

“Geeta Kapur, who is holding the charge of Director (Pers.), has assumed additional charge of Chairperson & Managing Director, SJVN. Geeta Kapur expressed her gratitude to all previous CMDs for their exemplary leadership that has created strength & maturity in SJVNites and has brought the company to its current eminence. She also extended her best wishes to SJVNites for adorning leadership role in the future also,” SJVN said.

This comes at a time when N L Sharma, the CMD SJVN, was extended farewell by SJVN a day before in Shimla. On the occasion, Geeta Kapur, D(P), A.K Singh, D(F), Sushil Sharma, D(Proj.) and other SJVN employees were also present. N L Sharma will join the Haryana Electricity Regulatory Commission as Chairman. He has steered SJVN towards exponential growth in India & abroad and elevated the portfolio of the company from 5200 MW to 59872 MW at present, the firm said.
