Tariff Discovered in SJVN 1.5 GW Tender Exceeds INR 4 per Kwh
SJVN has issued a tender inviting bids from solar power developers for the establishment of 1.5 GW of interstate transmission grid (ISTS) connected solar power projects on a build-own-operate basis anywhere in India.
SJVN will enter into a 25-year power purchase agreement (PPA) with the bidders who emerges successful. Power procured by SJVN from these projects will be sold to different buying entities of India.
A developer can bid for a cumulative contracted capacity of 50 MW to 750 MW. The bidding has to be in multiples of 10 MW. For projects established in North-Eastern states and special category states, the minimum project capacity that can be offered by a bidder will be 30 MW. The total cumulative project capacity to be awarded under the tender will be 1.5 GW.
A bidder can offer projects at multiple locations, provided each project has a minimum capacity of 50 MW.
SJVN recently announced a tender of 1465 MW of cumulative capacity.
