SGEL Looks to Buy Land for 200 MW Solar Project SJVN Green Energy Limited (SGEL), a subsidiary of SJVN, has issued a tender to buy or lease 1,000 acres of land in Punjab for the construction of a 200 MW solar power project. This is for a period of 28 years. The last date to submit bids for the tender for land for the 200 MW solar project is December 20, 2023. Bids open on the same day, that is, December 20, 2023. Bidders are needed to submit a bid document cost of INT 5,900. Up to a maximum of 1,000 acres, each linked land parcel should be either 250 acres or multiples of 250 acres. Further, land parcels with a combined area of less than 250 acres will not be considered. The property must have all required statutory clearances and have perimeter chain-link fencing. To establish the solar power projects, the successful bidder should make connections with the State Transmission Utility easier. Moreover, the State Transmission Utility (STU) Grid Sub-Station (GSS) should not be more than 15 kilometers away from the nearest portion of the land. A minimum Estimated Spare Capacity of 200 MW for 1,000 acres, 150 MW for 750 acres, 100 MW for 500 acres, and 50 MW for 250 acres should be available for the STU GSS.
