SECI Seeks Wind Power Developers for 1350 MW Wind Power Projects The Solar Energy Corporation of India (SECI) has floated a tender seeking Wind Power Developers for setting up of 1350 MW ISTS-connected wind power projects in India under tariff-based Competitive Bidding (SECI-Tranche-XVI). The last date to submit the bid in soft copy format is January 10, 2024. The last date to submit the bid in hard copy format is January 12, 2024. Bidding opens on January 15, 2024. The Bid processing fee INR 5 Lakh +18% GST for each project from 50 MW up to 90 MW while INR 15 Lakh + 18% GST for each project from 100 MW and above, to be submitted through NEFT/RTGS transfer SECI shall enter into a Power Purchase Agreement (PPA) with the successful bidders selected based on this RfS for purchase of wind power for a period of 25 years. The scope of work for Wind Power Developers includes the set up of ISTS-connected wind power projects, including the transmission network up to the Interconnection/ delivery point with the primary objective of supplying wind power to SECI, at its own cost and as per the provisions of the RfS and PPA. The identification of land, installation and ownership of the project, along with obtaining connectivity and necessary approvals and interconnection with the ISTS network/STU or InSTS network (as applicable) for supply of power to SECI, will be under the scope of the Wind Power Developers. These guidelines have been formulated for the procurement of wind power through transparent process of bidding for long-term procurement of electricity through competitive bidding process, by the procurers from grid-connected wind power projects, having an individual size of 10 MW and above for projects connected to intra state transmission system; and the bid capacity of 50 MW and above for projects connected to the inter-state transmission system.
