SECI Revises Bid Submission Date for 1.95MW Solar, 1.2GW Wind Projects

State-owned Solar Energy Corporation of India (SECI) has extended the bid submission deadline for its two renewable energy projects i.e. 1.95 MW solar energy project and 1200 MW wind project.

The last date for submitting bids for 1200 MW ISTS connected wind power projects (Tranche-IX) has been extended till December 05, 2019.

However, the last date for submitting bids for 1.95 MW solar PV power plant with 2.15 MWh BESS at Union Territory (UT), Lakshadweep, has been extended till December 06, 2019.

Recently, SECI has issued amendments for its 1.95 MW solar tender, for which it had issued notice inviting tender (NIT) in September for the deployment of 1.95 MW grid-connected solar power plant with 2.15 MWh Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) at 4 different islands of the UT.

As per the new amendments, a contractor must demonstrate the committed availability factor at the end of every year for undertaking the operation and maintenance (O&M) of the projects.

Earlier, regarding the O&M of the projects, SECI had stated that the contractor must demonstrate the committed CUF (Capacity Utilisation Factor) at the end of every year per the commitment made in-line with the performance guarantees.

Based on the new provisions, the selected bidders will provide 10 years of comprehensive O&M service of the plants from the date of successful commissioning.

As per the media reports, only two bidders have shown interest in the 1200 MW wind project earlier.
