SECI Reduces Levelized Ceiling Tariff for 500 MW Rooftop Solar Power Tender By Saur News Bureau/ Updated On Tue, May 2nd, 2017 The updated Levelized Ceiling Tariff 500 MW Rooftop Solar Power Tender is lower than the previous benchmark by Rs.1.03/kWh in general category states and union territories, and lower by Rs.0.40/kWh in special category states and union territories. The Solar Energy Corporation of India (SECI) has reduced the levelized ceiling tariff for the amended 500 MW rooftop solar power tender; the new tariff for general category states and union territories is Rs.5.97 (~$0.092)/kWh and Rs.4.42 (~$0.068)/kWh for special category states and union territories. The new benchmark for solar power tariff is lower than the previous benchmark by Rs.1.03 (~$0.015)/kWh in general category states and union territories, and lower by Rs.0.40 (~$0.006)/kWh in special category states and union territories. Mercom previously reported, the public sector undertaking amended the tender document pertaining to the 1,000 MW rooftop solar power auction for government buildings, reducing the capacity to 500 MW.
