SECI Issues Tender To Establish Solar Project In Ladakh In a bid to increase solar projects in the Leh region of the Union Territory (UT) of Ladakh, the Solar Energy Corporation of India (SECI) released a tender seeking bids to develop a 12 MW solar PV power plant system at Phey, Leh, UT of Ladakh. SECI said that the last date to submit bids is August 16, 2024. SECI’s recent tender seeks to select contractors to develop the solar projects and also ensure the Operations and Maintenance (O&M) of these projects for five years. As per the tender, the SECI expects the contractor to submit a simulation report along with the design basis report. To develop this project, nodal tendering authority expects the bidder to use solar PV modules with minimum DC capacity. The project is also expected to have solar cables of appropriate size and rating from PV Modules to SCB, along with straight/Y-connectors/branch connectors, ferrules, conduits, cable ties, and other materials required for cable laying and termination at both ends.
