SECI Issues Notice Inviting Tenders for RE Projects with Storage at Lakshadweep Vibrant Energy, Saint-Gobain Sign PPA for Round-the-Clock Renewable Energy

The Solar Energy Corporation of India Limited (SECI) has issued a notice inviting tenders (NIT) for the deployment of Renewable Energy Projects under its ownership at Lakshadweep Islands.

The projects will be developed under a Build-Own-Operate (BOO) basis and will be spread across the 11 islands of Lakshadweep, with emphasis on developing the RE Projects coupled with suitable capacity of Battery Energy Storage System (BESS).

The Project aims at powering the electricity supply of the inhabited islands in Lakshadweep partly or wholly through RE sources.

The brief scope of work will include the Design, Engineering, Supply, Construction, Erection, Testing & Commissioning of RE Projects along with BESS. The winning bidder(s) will also be responsible for the successful Operation and Maintenance (O&M) of the project.

The Bidding documents (NIT No. SECI/C&P/NIT/2019/LKRE) for the project tender which will be executed under the International competitive bidding process, will be available for download from 31/01/2019 online at www.tcil-india-electronictender.com, Central Public Procurement portal (CPPP) of GoI at www.eprocure.gov.in & will also be available at SECI’s website.

Interested bidders will be able to download the official copy of Tender documents after logging into the TCIL website by using the Login ID and Password provided by TCIL during registration.
