2 MW Solar Plant in Jammu and Kashmir

The Solar Energy Corporation of India (SECI) has issued a Notice Inviting Tenders (NIT) for development of a 2 MW solar PV plant at Army Posts in Jammu and Kashmir.

The NIT for the selection of Solar Power Developers (SPDs) for setting up of 2 MW of solar power plants, 1 MW each at the army posts in Siachen and an army post in Partapur at Jammu and Kashmir will be available for viewing on the government portal from February 20, 2019.

The brief scope of work for the winning bidders will include the design, engineering, procurement, supply, construction, erection, testing, commissioning of the 02 MW Solar PV Power Plant. The solar power developers will also be responsible for the successful operation and maintenance (O&M) of the project.

SECI had also recently issued a tender for setting up 50 MW of solar plant at the Kasargod Solar Park in Kerala. The tender documents for that project have now been uploaded to the government’s TCIL portal, SECI notified.

SECI’s Tranche 6 Wind Energy Tender, for 1.2 GW, saw a return to happy days again, as a total of nine developers made bids totalling 2325 MW for the 1200 MW tender.

Softbank promoted SB Energy made the biggest bid for 600 MW, followed by  ReNew Power, EDF, and ENEL who bid for 300 MW each, while Engie and Adani made bids for 250 MW each. Continuum and Ecoren made bids for 150 MW and 125 MW each, while Powerica made a 50 MW bid.
