SECI Looks for Developers for Setting Up 2000 MW Wind-Solar Hybrid Projects Solar Energy Corporation of India (SECI) has floated a tender for the selection of select renewable energy developers for the supply of 500 MW of power from interstate transmission system (ISTS)-connected renewable energy projects. The projects comes with Energy Storage System (ESS) all over India. The last day for submission of bids is August 31, 2023. Bids open on September 5, 2023. As per the tender, the renewable energy developer will be needed to establish ISTS-connected renewable energy power projects, along with the dedicated transmission network up to the interconnection/delivery points, at their own expense in accordance with the terms of the power purchase agreement. The bid processing fee is INR 1.5 million plus 18% GST. The Earnest Money Deposit will be calculated as INR 1.158 million multiplied by the rated cumulative installed capacity of solar component (MW) plus Rs 1.386 million multiplied by the Rated Cumulative Installed Capacity of Wind Component (MW) plus Rs 480,000 multiplied by the rated cumulative installed capacity of the ESS. SECI will enter into PPAs with the successful bidders within 60 days from the issuance of the letter of award. The validity of the PPAs is 25 years. The power purchased by SECI from these projects will be sold to Punjab State Power Corporation. Earlier, SECI issued a tender for setting up 15 MW grid-connected rooftop systems.
