The last date for bid submission has been extended from March 31, 2021, to April 22, 2021. The bids will now be opened on the new deadline. SECI has applied for financing from the World Bank toward the cost of the innovations in Solar Power & Hybrid Technologies Project and intends to apply part of the proceeds toward eligible payments under the contract for the consulting services detailed below. The consulting services will include the selection of consultancy firm for the owners’ engineer (OE) services for the project in Chhattisgarh for a total period of 30 months. A Consultant will be selected in accordance with the Quality & Cost-based selection (QCBS) method set out in the Procurement Regulations issued by the World Bank. SECI had issued the RfS for the projects in September. Initially, the tender included work on the design, engineering, supply, construction, erection, testing and commissioning of the 100 MW (ac) solar PV project (200 MWdc capacity) along with 50MW/150 MWh BESS at Rajnandgaon, Chhattisgarh. However, the tendered capacities have seen been modified to have a lower dc solar capacity to be set up by the developer and a 10 MW/30 MWh drop in the energy storage capacity. The developers will also be required to provide comprehensive operations and maintenance services for the plant for a period of 10 years from the date of successful commissioning.
