SECI’s 100 MW Solar Tender For SCCL Extended and Amended

The last date for bid submission for the SCCL tender has been extended till June 10, 2019, and the techno-commercial bids will be opened on the same date.

The Solar Energy Corporation of India (SECI) has extended the deadline for bid submission on its SCCL tender for the Design, Engineering, Supply, Construction, Erection, Testing & Commissioning of 100 MW (AC) Solar PV Power Plant under different packages including 10 years plant O&M at Singareni Collieries Company Limited (SCCL), Telangana, India.

The last date for bid submission has been extended till June 10, 2019, and the techno-commercial bids will be opened on the same date.

The nodal agency has also issued a second amendment for the tender. The following amendments have been made to the tender documents.

  1. The technical eligibility criteria for interested bidders has been so altered that now bidders who have experience of installation and commissioning of the grid-connected solar PV power plant of cumulative capacity not less than 45 MW (previously 50 MW) in last seven Financial years as on the last date of bid submission, will be eligible.
  2. Under the finical eligibility criteria, the minimum annual average turnover required for eligibility has been lowered from Rs 181.6 crore to Rs 163.44 crore. And the minimum working capital requirement has been lowered from Rs 113.5 crore to Rs 102.15 crore.

SECI had issued the Notice Inviting Tenders (NIT) for the project last week on April 17, 2019. And, then issued the tender document on April 23, 2019. All bidders will (unless stated otherwise) will only be allowed to submit a single bid. And must submit an Earnest Money Deposit of Rs 9 crores (Rs 9,08,00,000) along with their bid.

pre-bid/clarification meeting had been scheduled to be held at the Conference Hall, 2nd Floor, Singareni Bhavan, Lak Di Ka Pul, Hyderabad, Telangana on May 3, 2019. All prospective bidders have been advised by the nodal agency to visit the site to study the actual conditions and go through the plans/drawings connected to the present scope of work etc including power evacuation system and get acquainted with the same. And bidders seeking a visit to the site must contact the General Manager (E&M) Solar Energy at SCCL.
