Saatvik Solar Will Supply 50 MW Modules to Raghanseda Solar Project By Subhash Yadav/ Updated On Tue, Mar 8th, 2022 Highlights : Saatvik has secured the order in the a reverse bidding auction through BHEL. The module manufacturer doubled its capacity last month to 1GW. PV Module manufacturer Saatvik Solar has secured an order for manufacturing and supplying 50 MW Solar modules through Bharat Heavy Electricals Limited (BHEL). Saatvik Solar was declared L1 bidder in a reverse bidding auction and the supply of these modules will be made at GSECL 100 MW Raghanseda Solar Park. The project is located in Gujarat’s Banaskantha district. It’s one of the Ultra Mega Solar Parks in India. Prashant Mathur, Chief Executive Officer, Saatvik Green Energy said, “We are pleased to secure the BHEL order. We have had a long-standing business relationship with BHEL. Previously, we supplied 73 MW modules at NTPC Ramagundam floating project and GSECL Raghanseda project. Going forward, the company foresees continuous strong demand for high power solar modules for the simple reason that the Indian market is highly competitive, and conscious of the product performance, balance of system (BOS), and levelised cost of energy.” At present, Saatvik Green Energy has a 1 GW annual production capacity in Ambala, Haryana, and the company has delivered more than 1 GW modules across India. Saatvik is coming up with a new set up in Gandhidham, Gujarat which is meant to expand the capacity of the company to 3 GW by 2023. The module manufacturer doubled its capacity from 500MW to 1GW last month only and its new production base in Ambala can now manufacture mono-PERC, half cut and multi-busbar technology that can create high efficiency solar modules. As per the company, it will add another 1.2 GW solar production capacity in March 2023. Saatvik plans to foster an ecosystem where both solar cells and modules will be manufactured.
