Saatvik Solar Unveils 12 MW Single Rooftop Solar Project In Odisha Solar module manufacturer Saatvik Solar recently announced the successful commissioning of a 12MW Rooftop Solar Project which it claims to be “Asia’s Largest” at a plate mill owned by Jindal Steel and Power Limited in Angul, Odisha. The project utilized Mono Perc 545Wp modules and has been commissioned on a Single tin shade roof. “This project stands as a testament to innovation and commitment to environmental stewardship. With a meticulous approach to design and implementation, Saatvik Solar has ensured optimal utilization of rooftop space, harnessing abundant solar energy,” said the company in its press release. Further, Saatvik Solar media statement stated that this project has been accomplished with a DC capacity of 12009KWp and AC capacity of 9145 KWp to generate 15784100 units per annum, also with this mega installation Jindal Steel and Power Limited will reduce 9610 Tonnes of CO2 annually. Speaking on this achievement Mr. Prashant Mathur C.E.O Saatvik Solar, stated, “We are immensely proud to have played a pivotal role in realising Asia’s Largest Single Rooftop Solar Project. This milestone underscores our unwavering commitment to sustainability and underscores the immense potential of solar energy in powering the future.” In other news, Jindal Steel & Power Ltd has also announced the commissioning of the western world’s largest Building Integrated Solar InRoof project with an installed capacity of 3.25 MWp spread across an area of 2,00,000sq.ft. It will generate over 100 million units of electricity over the expected life of the project, contributing to offsetting 4,500 tonnes of carbon dioxide emissions annually. JSPL has also deployed 10 electric buses and 27 electric SUVs at its Angul unit which as per the company is in sync with its commitment to environmental sustainability and decarbonization efforts. Apart from this, Saatvik Solar also apprised earlier this month that the Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS) has approved India’s 16 BB Bifacial N-TOPCon Module. This additional certification covers Saatvik’s PV modules to high-efficiency solar solutions, catering to the growing demand for advanced photovoltaic technology and performance standards for the power output warranty period Tags: Angul, JSPL, Odisha, Rooftop Solar, Saatvik Solar
