After a reverse auction held by Bharat Heavy Electrical Limited (BHEL), module manufacturing firm Saatvik Green Energy Pvt Ltd has acquired a 4 MW high-efficiency solar modules supply order.

Two thermal power stations in Uttar Pradesh will complete this significant project. By the end of the year, Saatvik will offer highly effective premium grade ALMM-approved, mono-perc half-cut MBB high-efficiency solar modules for the above projects. This mega project will be engineered and finished by BHEL. Engineering, purchasing, and installation at both locations will be entirely under BHEL’s control.

For two anticipated flagship projects that would be completed at two thermal power plants in Uttar Pradesh, BHEL has released a tender for 4 MW of monocrystalline high-efficiency solar modules. Out of the total tender floated by BHEL, 2.5 MW of installation is to be completed and executed at the Jawaharpur power house thermal plant in the Etah district of Uttar Pradesh, and nearly about 1.6 MW of installation is to be accomplished and executed at the Obra thermal power plant in the Sonbhadra district.

The production capacity of Saatvik’s Ambala manufacturing facility is now 1.5 GW, but growth projections indicate that it will soon reach 3 GW/Annum.

Saatvik produces polycrystalline, mono perc half-cut, and bifacial modules with power ratings up to 590Wp that have received ALMM and BIS certification. To satisfy the growing demand, Saatvik is also preparing a Greenfield facility in Gandhidham, Gujarat, to produce premium cells and modules of the highest quality, the firm says.

Recently, Saatvik Solar secured an order for manufacturing and supplying 50 MW Solar modules through Bharat Heavy Electricals Limited (BHEL). Saatvik Solar was declared the L1 bidder in a reverse bidding auction and the supply of these modules will be made at GSECL 100 MW Raghanseda Solar Park.
