Roofsol Energy Receives 10.5 MWp Solar Project From Shree Cement Mumbai-based EPC company Roofsol Energy Pvt Ltd has been awarded a solar project by Shree Cement Limited of 10.5 MWp capacity. The ground-mounted “Behind the Meter” project is to be implemented in Uttarakhand and Jharkhand. The company mentioned about its project stating, “Shree Cement owns and operates cement grinding units in 9 locations across India and owns production facilities in Rajasthan, Chhattisgarh, and Karnataka and has operations in India and UAE. The company carries out power generation through waste heat recovery plants and now they are adopting solar plants as well.”It further said, “Ranked 2 among Solar Rooftop EPC Companies in India, Roofsol Energy has successfully partnered with many similar companies to build up their renewable energy landscape in Indian Cement Industry and other industries. In the coming financial year FY 25, our target is to execute an impressive 250 MWp+ of Rooftop and ground-mounted solar projects in the C&I space and behind the meter segments.” Earlier this year, “Mumbai-based company for ground mount and rooftop solar solutions for commercial & industrial clients Roofsol Energy Pvt Ltd announced the commencement of a 27.2 MWp utility-scale project in Tamil Nadu. In a post on Linkedin, the company said that it has now commissioned a 27.2 MWp utility-scale project which is its first Utility-scale project with Horizontal Single Axis Tracker and Bifacial modules.” The company further said that its capability has been significantly enhanced with the commissioning of this ground-mounted utility-scale project and that the company is executing 150 MWp+ of solar projects in the ground-mount utility and C&I segment in the current financial year. The company also completed the 21.5 MWp solar project in Punjab’s Bathinda.
