RMC Switchgears Gets 50 MW Rooftop Project For Solar Initiatives RMC Switchgear

Rajasthan-based RMC Switchgears has received a Letter of Acceptance (LoA) from the Rajasthan Government for a 50 MW rooftop solar project. The installations will be spread across state government buildings in Jaipur and Dausa.

Project Scope and Financials

Under the contract, RMC Switchgears will be responsible for the design, supply, erection, and commissioning of rooftop solar systems on government and public sector buildings. The project will be implemented under the Hybrid Annuity Mode (HAM), ensuring financial sustainability and long-term viability.

In addition, RMC will manage the operation and maintenance (O&M) of the solar installations for the next 25 years. The order represents:

  • ₹229 crore in one-time revenue for project execution
  • ₹91 crore in recurring revenue over 25 years from O&M services

This contract provides RMC with a steady long-term income stream, reinforcing its position in the renewable energy sector.

Strategic Importance

Rajasthan has been actively promoting solar energy adoption across government establishments, aiming to power all state-run buildings with renewable sources. This project aligns with RMC’s strategy to expand its Solar EPC and Independent Power Producer (IPP) footprints.
