India's Solar Module Manufacturing Capacity To Touch 60GW: Report

Ningbo, China based Risen Energy, a leading producer of heterojunction (HJT) solar modules, has entered into a supply agreement with Singapore-based independent power producer (IPP) platform company, Athein Holding Pte Ltd. The agreement will see the solar module maker providing up to 1 GW of HJT solar modules to Athein Holding, supporting their renewable energy infrastructure development initiatives in Southeast Asia and India.

The heterojunction solar modules technology is widely recognized as the next-generation solar photovoltaic (PV) technology, offering high efficiency and minimal degradation compared to traditional PV modules.

Milan Koev, CEO of Athein Holding, emphasized the importance of this collaboration in expanding the possibilities of clean energy. B.V. Chaudary, Chief Sales and Marketing Officer of Risen Energy expressed unwavering confidence in the quality and reliability of their HJT modules, aligning with Athein Holding's renewable energy goals.

Risen Energy recently achieved remarkable results with its Hyper-ion HJT series modules, boasting a power output of 741.456 W and an impressive conversion efficiency of 23.89 per cent.

This agreement with Athein Holding follows Risen Energy's successful contract to supply 1 GW of HJT Hyper-ion modules to Australian OSW, solidifying their position as a key player in the renewable energy industry. The HJT modules contract aimed to bring solar energy solutions to the Australian, European, and South American markets, showcasing Risen Energy's expanding global presence.

With a PV module capacity of 20 GW, Risen Energy has plans to expand it by a further 5 GW with a new plant in China soon.  The firm is firmly focused on breaking into the top 5 global producers of solar modules, an exclusively Chinese club currently.
