RFP for ‘One Sun, One World, One Grid’ Gets Another Deadline By Ayush Verma/ Updated On Mon, Oct 26th, 2020 State energy transition study ISA has extended the deadline for its RfP for developing a Long Term Vision, and Framework for implementing the ‘One Sun One World One Grid’ initiative The International Solar Alliance (ISA) has once again extended the deadline for its Request for Proposal (RfP) for developing a Long Term Vision, Implementation Plan, Road Map, and Institutional Framework for implementing the ‘One Sun One World One Grid’ (OSOWOG) initiative. The corrigendum issued by the agency stated that the last date of submission of bids has been extended to November 5, 2020. Further adding that the dates for the presentation on the Approach and Methodology, as part of the technical proposal, will be modified accordingly. The bidders, who have been termed qualified against the qualification criteria, shall be informed of the technical presentation schedule beforehand and need to be ready to present on short notice. The tentative duration of the technical presentation shall be a total of 30 minutes including any queries from the evaluation committee. This is now the second corrigendum to the RfP since the ISA was appointed as the implementing agency for the initiative. Earlier this month, under the first corrigendum, initial changes were made based on the initial set of queries received by prospective bidders. The agency at the time had said that it expects there to be no further time extension in this RfP, however, that claim lasted less than a month. The OSOWOG initiative (as per the initial RfP) is planned across 3 phases: Phase I (Middle East-South Asia-South East Asia (MESASEA) interconnection): Indian Grid interconnection with Middle East, South Asia and South-East Asian grids to share solar and other renewable energy resources for meeting electricity needs including peak demand. Phase II (Solar and other Renewable Energy resources-rich regions’ interconnection): MESASEA grid getting interconnected with the African power pools to share solar and other renewable energy power of the countries located in solar and renewable energy-rich areas. Phase III (Global interconnection): to achieve the One Sun One World One Grid vision. Tags: Deadline, India, ISA, One Sun One World One Grid, One Sun One World One Grid Deadline
