REtopia to host event on Democratizing Renewable Energy at TER University

REtopia, the annual technical symposium hosted by students of Department of Energy and Environment at TERI University, would be held on 11^th and 12^th of November, 2016 under the theme “Democratizing Renewable Energy” at the University Campus. Evolved from the word ‘Utopia’ meaning ideal situation, the objective of the technical symposium is to bring together policy makers, academia, industrialexperts, practitioners and most importantly students on a common platform to discuss different aspects related to clean energy.

The two day event, now in its sixth edition, will include several competitions and lectures, designed to give a holistic knowledge on renewable energy to both the graduate and post-graduate students from colleges/ universities across the country.

Panel Discussion: Reputed industry experts to present their views, discuss and answer queries on the event theme.
Poster Presentation: Participants to design and showcase posters related to the theme to eminent judges from the RE sector.
Green REnovation: Participants to propose a renovation plan for an existing office space into a green building using their skills and innovative ideas
Renewable Energy Design Challenge (RED): Participants present sustainable and green business models to be judged by a pane of industry experts.
Trouble Shooting Renewable Energy Problems (TREP): Participants to come out with solutions for actual problems/ issues encountered by industry.
Smart Data Logger: Enthusiasts to build a data logger to be tested and judged by Industry experts.
GD & Debate: Participants to debate & compete on topics related to green energy, climate and sustainability.
Sustainovation: Inspirational pep-talk to be delivered by founders of start-up companies in the space of clean technologies, sharing their entrepreneurial journey.
