RenewSys Strikes 100 MW Solar Module Supply Deal with Engie India RenewSys, an integrated manufacturer of PV modules, has signed a 100 MW solar module supply agreement with Engie India. This contract is for Engie India’s GUVNL 2 project, operating under a 25-year solar power purchase agreement (PPA) with Gujarat Urja Vikas Nigam Ltd (GUVNL). This collaboration underscores RenewSys’ commitment to advancing the solar PV and reflects the growing awareness of the importance of sustainable energy solutions.” He added, “We are set to commence the supply of our monocrystalline Bifacial Glass-Backsheet modules for this project soon and complete its execution by Q1/Q2 2024.” RenewSys claims to be the first integrated manufacturer of solar PV modules (2.75 GW) and its key components – encapsulants (6 GW), backsheets (4 GW), and PV cells (130 MW). RenewSys Bengaluru, whose team boasts polymer experts and European machinery, has produced and supplied over 22 GW of encapsulants and backsheets worldwide. It has to its credit innovations like India’s first transparent backsheet, ULcertified POE, and India’s only backsheet patent, among others. RenewSys Hyderabad is a hub for R&D and innovations such as, 5BB and 6BB PV cells, bifacial glass -transparent backsheet module, high efficiency – DESERV Galactic and Galactic Ultra modules, PVDF based backsheets. It houses a state-of-the-art module testing laboratory where PV modules can be tested under rigorous conditions like damp heat, temperature cycling, and UV exposure. RenewSys Patalganga is a solar module manufacturing plant with a capacity of 2 GW, located about an hour away from the JNPT port in Maharashtra.
