REIL Tenders for 3.5 MW Solar Power Plants in Maharashtra By Ayush Verma/ Updated On Mon, Mar 9th, 2020 REIL has issued a tender for setting up of solar PV based power plants with capacities ranging from 500 kWp to 2 MWp in the state of Maharashtra. Rajasthan Electronics & Instruments Limited (REIL) has issued a tender, inviting sealed bids from interested bidders for setting up of solar PV based power plants with capacities ranging from 500 kWp to 2 MWp or more at various locations/ sub stations of Maharashtra State Electricity Distribution Company Limited (MSEDCL) in the state of Maharashtra. The scope of work for the selected bidders will include the design, engineering, supply, construction, erection, testing, transportation, unloading, installation and commissioning of the solar power plants. The developers will also be required to provide 25 years of comprehensive operation and maintenance for solar power projects. Under this programme, REIL will establish small Solar PV based small power plants with capacities approximately 500 kW to 2 MW (Total Capacity 3.5 MW) on the open, unused lands at various locations/ substations of MSEDCL in the state of Maharashtra. The last date for bid submission is March 27, 2020, and the techno-commercial bids will be opened on March 28, 2020. The date and time of opening of the price bids will be intimated to the technically cleared bidders later. All prospective bidders will also be required to submit an Earnest Money Deposit of Rs 20 lakh along with their bids. To be eligible for participating in the bidding process, the bidder should have experience for electrical 11KV/33KV switchyard/ transmission line/ grid-connected systems and should have experience of successfully completing solar power plants during last 5 years in any of the following categories:- experience of one work of solar power plant capacity > 80 percent of capacity of 3.5 MWp plant capacity in NIT i.e. 2.8 MW OR of two works of Solar Power Plant capacity > 50 percent of the capacity of 3.5 MWp plant capacity in NIT i.e. 1.75 MW OR of three work of Solar Power Plant capacity > 40 percent of the capacity of 3.5 MWp plant capacity in NIT i.e. 1.4 MW. Furthermore, the firms should have an average turnover of Rs 10 crore in the last three financial years. Recently, REIL has also issued a tender for rate contract for commissioning of 100 kWp to 500 kWp rooftop solar power projects under the second phase of the rooftop solar scheme and the Solar Power Policy of the state of Uttarakhand in various places of the state.
