REIL Seeks Proposal To Build 15 MW Rooftop Solar Project

Rajasthan Electronics and Instruments Limited (REIL) recently released a tender seeking proposals for the empanelment of eligible bidders to design, supply, and commission a 15 MW solar project. Bidders must submit their bids by January 24, 2025.

The tender aims to develop grid-connected rooftop solar power projects. The project is expected to be completed within 25 years on state government buildings in Rajasthan. Bidders are required to have experience in designing and supplying modules/inverters (which can be either included or excluded from the bidder’s scope of experience), installing, testing, and commissioning at least one grid-connected solar PV power plant with a minimum capacity of 5 kWp, and a cumulative capacity of grid-connected solar PV power plants equal to or more than 10% of the quoted capacity commissioned in the last seven years before the bid submission date. The vendor will be responsible for transporting all materials to the respective project sites and their installation and commissioning, including comprehensive operation and maintenance for 25 years.

Additionally, the tender states, “The bidder is expected to bid for a minimum capacity of 5 MW. A bid in any district cannot be less than 5 MW. Offers from bidders for less than the minimum capacity will be considered non-responsive and summarily rejected. Bidders must quote a minimum 5 MW capacity in a district.”

The bidder is required to meet the following technical qualifications: “The bidder should have designed, supplied (supply of modules/inverters can be included), installed, tested, and commissioned at least one grid-connected solar PV power plant with a minimum capacity of 5 kWp and a cumulative capacity of grid-connected solar PV power plants equal to or more than 10% of the quoted capacity commissioned in the last seven years before the bid submission date.”
