RECPDCL Issues tender to evacuate 1 GW renewable energy RECPDCL (REC Power Development Consultancy Limited), a wholly-owned subsidiary of REC, has issued a tender for the selection of a transmission service provider via tariff-based competitive bidding process to set up an ISTS (Interstate Transmission State) for evacuating 20 GW power from Rajasthan’s Renewable Energy Zones (REZ) under phase-III, part I. The last day to submit bids is October 27, 2023. Bids open on the same day, that is, October 27, 2023. The commercial operation date of the project is scheduled to be 42 months from the effective month. The developer will be responsible for ensuring all the aspects of the project, entailing equipment, facilities, components and systems are designed, constructed and tested as per the terms outlined in transmission service agreement. Recently, Sterlite Power, a private sector power transmission infrastructure developer and solutions provider, secured the order for Rajasthan Phase-III (20 GW), Part F Transmission project. This order win marks Sterlite Power’s second venture into green energy transmission projects in the state of Rajasthan. The project was bid out through tariff-based competitive bidding (TBCB) process. Sterlite Power received the Letter of Intent (LoI) from REC Power Development and Consultancy Limited to build the project on BOOT (build, own, operate, transfer) basis, for a period of 35 years.
