Rayzon Solar announced that the company has won  a contract to supply 216 MW of photovoltaic modules to L&T for three solar projects in India.

One of the renowned multinationals providing EPC solutions in India, L&T will operate the solar projects out of three states. The solar projects operating out of the state of Jharkhand, Telangana, and Bihar are a floating solar installation in Jharkhand and Telangana, and ground-mounted solar installation in Bihar.

PV modules from Rayzon Solar will be used in these projects. These modules are specifically designed for the floating solar projects. Floating solar installations install the solar panels on water surfaces. In this process, a significant portion of land is saved while clean energy is generated.

Larsen & Toubro has a presence in the solar energy sector. The company has successfully executed many solar projects in India. For instance, L&T had established a 100 MW floating solar plant at NTPC’s Kayamkulam site in Kerala. This was the largest solar floating projects in India. The other such project was the construction of a 50 MW floating solar power plant at NTPC Simhadri Thermal Station in Andhra Pradesh.

Rayzon Solar has a production capacity of 4 GW of PV modules every year. The company will also increase its capacity by another 3 GW by December 2024. Furthermore, an additional GW is expected to be completed by September 2025. Upon completion, Rayzon Solar’s total production capacity will touch 12 GW per year.

In addition to the expansion of its capacity for PV modules, Rayzon Solar also aims at a production line for solar cells. It has targeted a 1.2 GW production line for solar cells to be completed by the end of 2025.

Rayzon Solar had also conducted other solar projects in India. It had provided PV modules to ground mounted as well as floating solar projects. The company’s modules had been used in different Indian states across the country.
