Rays Power Commissions 5.5 MW of Rooftop Solar Power Plant for DMRC By Saur News Bureau/ Updated On Thu, Apr 6th, 2017 Delhi Metro Rail Corporation gets 5.5 MW rooftop solar power plant spread across various locations and stations in Delhi. Rays Power has commissioned a 5.5 MW rooftop solar power project for the Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC). The entire 5.5 MW is spread across various locations and stations owned by the DMRC. The company has signed 25-year power purchase agreement (PPA) with the DMRC. “We signed with DMRC at a tariff of Rs.6 (~$0.092)/kWh for the first two years, and after that we will supply power for a tariff of Rs.6.35 (~$0.098)/kWh for 23 years,” stated Mercom’s source at Rays Power. The minimum project capacity is 14.4 kW and the maximum is 1 MW on a single roof, added the source at Rays Power. According to the Mercom’s India Solar Project Tracker, Rays Power has commissioned an estimated 24 MW of rooftop solar and has approximately 10 MW of solar is under various stages of development.
