Power trading solution provider PTC India (formerly known as Power Trading Corp of India) has appointed Rajib Mishra as its Chairman and Managing Director with immediate effect. Mishra was the director of marketing and business development prior to being appointed as Acting Chairman of PTC following the resignation of Deepak Amitabh.

A company statement from PTC read as, “Rajib K Mishra takes over as the Chairman and Managing Director of PTC India Ltd. He has been appointed w.e.f 29-03-2023,” it said.

With 38 years of experience in his kitty, Mishra has served in various capacities at NTPC and POWERGRID. He has been the author of four books and over twenty technical and management papers.

Mishra has an important role to play in kickstarting the retail business of PTC to help meet power requirements of the business firm.  It is being held that he was key in turning around loss making telecom SBU of POWERGRID while he was its DGM / AGM (Marketing) in 2006-07.

Recently, PTC joined hands with Belgian firm N-Side aimed at the development of a predictive solution for India’s power market. PTC India has set sights on creating a portfolio of tools that can enable it to forecast demand and prices in electricity market.
