Rajasthan: SGEL Seeks Bids For 2,000 Ac Land For 500 MW Solar Project

SJVN Green Energy Limited (SGEL), a subsidiary of SJVN, has released a tender seeking bids for the outright purchase or leasing of 2,000 acres of land located in the vicinity of the 765/400/220 kV Bikaner-IV Pooling Station in Rajasthan. With this project, SGEL aims to set up a solar plant of up to 500 MW. For bids submission, SGEL has set 18th October 2024 as the last date for bid submission.

The SGEL tender seeks bids from any entity registered in India but doesn’t allow joint Venture (JV)/ Consortium to submit the bids. In its scope of work, SJVN mentioned that the successful bidder is expected to undertake services for allied works and land development. Additionally, the bidder is responsible for constructing GI chain-link wire fencing along the land boundary and the main entry gate.

The SGEL in its tender document stated, “The bidder may offer multiple land parcels up to a maximum of 2,800 acres, provided that a single connected land parcel is either 400 acres or in multiples of 400 acres, with a maximum of 2,000 acres. The aerial distance between the nearest point of the land parcel and the Bikaner-IV Pooling Station is expected to be more than (a) 20 km for a single land parcel with an area of 400 acres, (b) 25 km for a single land parcel with an area of 800 acres or more.” SGEL in its tender set 210 days from the last date of bid submission as the maximum period for bid validity.

The tender laid down separate bid security/earnest money deposit (EMD) for separate land sizes as mentioned below. For instance, for 400 Acres- SGEL set Rs. 40,00,000 as the bid amount. Whereas, for 800 Acres the amount is Rs. 80,00,000 and , for 1200 Acres the bidder set Rs. 1,20,00,000 as the bid amount. For 1600 acres SGEL sets Rs. 1,60,00,000 and for 2000 acres and above the amount is set as Rs. 2,00,00,000.
