Q4 Results: NTPC Reports 9% Jump In Revenues, 33% In Profits By Saur News Bureau/ Updated On Mon, May 27th, 2024 NTPC May Take Up Its Renewable Portfolio To 30 GW Soon Indian power behemoth NTPC Limited has now come up with its financial results for Q4 and FY24. The latest audited consolidated financial results for Q4 revealed that the company’s total revenues increased by nine percent on a Year-on-Year (YoY) basis. The results indicated that while the company’s Q4 revenues stood at Rs 48,816.55 crore in FY24, during the same period in FY23, its total revenues stood at Rs 44,744.96 crore. This led to a rise of 9 percent in its total revenues. On a Quarter-on-Quarter (QoQ) basis, the company also reported a jump of 12 percent. While its total Q3 income stood at Rs 43,574 crore, it increased to Rs 48,816.55 crore in Q4 of FY24. On the other hand, on an annual basis, NTPC also reported a surge in its total revenues from Rs 177976.39 crore in FY23 to Rs 181165.86 crore in FY24. This was a jump of 1.8 percent. In terms of profits, NTPC’s profits also escalated both on YoY basis and on a QoQ basis. On a YoY basis, the CPSE’s net profits increased from Rs 4871.55 crore to Rs 6490.05 crore. This led to a jump of 33 percent. On the other hand on a QoQ basis, its profits went on from Rs 5208 crore to Rs 6490 crore, reporting a jump of 25 percent. On the annual level too, the company improved its total profits from Rs 17121.35 crore to Rs 21322.45 crore. This led to a jump in profits by 24 percent. Based on the financial results of the company, the Board of Directors recommended a final dividend at the rate of 32.50 percent (Rs 3.24 per share) for the financial year 2023-24. Renewable Performance NTPC’s corporate filings with the BSE revealed that the company reported a reduced Plant Load Factor (PLF) in the solar sector in the quarter and also annually. The company said that it reported a negative PLF growth of 0.44 on quarterly basis./ On the other hand on an annual basis it reported a 0.63 lesser PLF.
