The Punjab Renewable Development Agency (PEDA) has now issued a tender to the installation of energy monitoring systems at six medical colleges in the state. Through this initiative, the state renewable energy agency has planned to monitor the power consumption patterns of these hospitals. The last date for submission of the tender is September 23.

As per the plan, the state nodal agency for renewables in Punjab wants to install these energy monitoring systems at six medical colleges. These included-Government Medical College-Patiala, Government Hospital-Patiala, Government Medical College-Amritsar, Government Nanak Dev Hospital-Amritsar, Government Gobind Singh Medical College-Faridkot and Guru Gobind Singh Govt Hospital-Faridkot.

“This energy monitoring system should be enabled to integrate more buildings at different locations. It should also be enabled to generate reports on a daily, monthly & annual basis,” the tender said.

Through these systems, PEDA wants to see the collection of electrical data like voltage, current,. power , power factor, total harmonic distortion by installing meters/wifi routers with sensors at different sub feeders. The tender mandates that these systems should generate online reports through web browning, cloud based systems so that it might be feasible to remotely monitor the energy scenario.

The Scope of work covers Supply, Installation, Testing & Commissioning of Energy Monitoring System. “The objective is to only monitor & showcase the energy consumption with various parameters on hourly, daily, monthly and annually basis along with real time data monitoring through wireless based system for a period of 3 years. The scope of work also covers to provide operational training to atleast three persons including PEDA official & concerned Govt. Medical Colleges / Hospitals at site regarding the smooth operation and generation of reports in useful excel, pdf & user-friendly report formats on digital dashboard,” the PEDA tender said.

Regarding the eligibility of the bidder, the tender said, “The bidder should have average annual financial turnover of Rs. 50 Lakhs during F.Y. 2020-21, 2021-22 & 2022-23. The bidder should submit CA Certificate & GST return for the turnover verification along with audited financial statements for the F.Y. 2020-21, 2021-22 & 2022-23, the bidder should submit CA Certificate.”
